Sound The Alarm! Save A Life!
On June 22, NCMC and the American Red Cross will host a "Sound the Alarm" event. This means volunteers will go out to homes in Pacoima and San Fernando from 12:30 - 3:30 pm to install FREE smoke alarms, and also discuss a family plan to exit the home in the event of a fire or other disaster. Residents living in other local areas may schedule an appointment for other dates during the month of June.
Interested residents or volunteers should call the number listed on the flyer to schedule an appointment for the FREE service, or register as a volunteer.
The minimum age for volunteers is 14 years old and school credit for volunteering is available. Volunteers will also be provided with lunch and an American Red Cross T- shirt.
All volunteers will be trained on smoke alarms installations, and home exit routing. Only the volunteers will meet at NCMC on June 22. They will be advised of the volunteer start time upon registering.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or need clarification.
